Likewise, He calls us to do everything within our power to preserve and enhance the lives of those around us. Proverbs 31:8 says to “Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die.”
Beyond His defense of life, however, Jesus also came to deliver from death and to introduce abundant living. While He wants us to reach out in ministry, He also wants to fill our lives with purpose and fulfillment. By His death and resurrection, Christ has opened a new dimension of life for all mankind, wherein “all things have become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).
