God loves us, and His jealousy is not anger but frustration over any compromise of fidelity to Him; just as a husband or a wife may be jealous if flirtation is taking place. The Holy Spirit comes to monitor our walk with God and put us back on track when things get in the way of God’s purpose in our lives.
