Paul asks the church in Corinth the searching question, “Is Christ divided?” (1 Cor. 1:13). Sadly, in the first-century church, each one had his own faction, was right in his own eyes, and sensed his own unique destiny in the Lord. The challenges we face today are no different. The adversary still attempts to strip the power of the Body of Christ by separating believers.
It is our love for the Lord and His love in us for brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ that create an unshakable house. The differences of tradition, style, and ministry focus reflect our uniquenesses in Christ. Our love, acceptance and encouragement for others in the Body of Christ is the verification of His love at work in us. Let us daily allow the love of God to grow our hearts bigger to make room for the family of God to grow ever stronger.
